Thursday – Culinary Dinner Experience

Location: Latha Restaurant and Bar
Date: October 10th 6pm

Latha is an esteemed Pan African restaurant that specializes in offering an experience, delicious food, exceptional drinks expertly crafted by a talented celebrity chef. We invite our guests to an evening of culinary delights at our culturally themed dinner experience. Join us as we journey through the flavors of a crafted 4 course meal that blends delicacies from across the diaspora.

Friday: Cocktail and Conversations

Location: Snkrheadz Caribbean Cuisine Bar & Lounge
Date: October 11th 6pm

Cocktails and Conversations is a refined After-Work Affair for our special guests to usher the weekend in style. Held at a newly opened Caribbean Restaurant and Bar this event offers a unique blend of sophistication and relaxation. Guests will enjoy expertly crafted cocktails by our esteemed mixologist paired with a delicious Caribbean inspired menu. Ideal for unwinding after a busy day guests will enjoy engaging conversations and will be guided by the chef through the rich flavors and vibrant dishes.

Saturday – The Festival

We are excited to partner with AfriSoul Education Center to host the Pan African Food Festival for a second year. Perfectly located in Eastlake District, a historical Black Community and the home of the largest concentration of Black businesses which includes Grassrootz Bookstore; the only Black Bookstore in Phoenix.

In celebration of culture in true fashion we invite our guests to arrive dressed in their favorite African inspired outfit and be prepared to move to the sounds from two of the valley’s top cultural DJs; DJ Philo and DJ Skoolboi along with being entertained by cultural performances. At the heart of the festival is a recognition of the talented chefs, innovative food trucks and visionary restaurateurs who are making significant contributions to the food industry. Whether you’re a seasoned foodie or not , join us as we come together to celebrate the diversity, creativity, and ingenuity of food from across the African diaspora.

Meet Our Culinary Ambassadors

 William J. Brazil

Born and raised in Arizona, Will Brazil discovered his love for blending ingredients at a young age. Today, as a talented mixologist, Will brings his passion and purpose to the art of hospitality. He owns and operates WJB Hospitality LLC, a mobile and private hospitality company. Will is also the General Manager and Beverage Director at Latha Restaurant & Bar

Chef Digby

 A native of St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Chef Digby grew up around what many today call the “slow food” movement—fresh, locally harvested ingredients and proteins gathered from the sea just steps away. Add to that a West Indian culinary tradition influenced by the African diaspora

Chef Druw

Growing up in London and Paris with a West African background, Chef Druw found inspiration from his diverse travels inspiring his passion for food! Chef Druw’s mission is to provide customers with healthy and tasty food options that are made with fresh and natural ingredients

 Leslie Jones

 Leslie Jones was born and raised in Inglewood, CA. At a young age, she loved organizing and hosting parties. Her love for bringing people together led to launching
1010 Wine and Events with her sibling, Le Jones 1010 Wine is an upscale wine bar and has the largest selection of Black-owned wines in California.
